Reflection from an Ault who Recently recieved the Sacrament of Confirmation

Everybody would be happy to receive a beautiful gift from the loved one.

Well, today I am going to receive 7 gifts from the Holy Spirit.

Normally, one receives the Sacrament of the Confirmation when they are younger.

I did not…probably because I did not realize at that time the importance of such Sacrament.

I did not feel the need for that.

Today, I am a young adult woman and I look at the events of my life differently.

Many things have changed over the last years and I could always finds beside me the Holy Presence of Jesus.

Today I am thirsty for his words.

Today more than ever before I need his blessing through this Sacrament to be part of Him and to live with Him more intensely.

Today once again he is offering himself to me and I want to keep my promise of faith and love and now more that ever I am ready for this commitment.

I am glad to receive the Sacrament of the Confirmation in this Parish to which many lovely memories are linked.

I am glad I met Father Richard and Sister Noreen.

Sister Noreen has not only looked after the spiritual preparation to this event but she is a dear friend and almost a mother for me.

To her goes my deepest thanks for all what she has done for me over the last years.

My last thought goes to my family in Italy and in particular to my mom to whom I would like to express all my gratitude.

She would be happy to see me today among our Parish Community.

Thanks for your attention.
