Full Rosary and Adoration for Synod on the Family

The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, Harold's Cross will pray the full Rosary during Eucharistic Adoration on Sunday 11th October for the intention of the Synod on the Family.  One of the four sets of Mysteries will commence at each half-hour, starting at 3.00pm, and concluding with Benediction at 5.00pm.  All are welcome - why not drop in for a half hour or more?

National Cell Seminar in Ballinteer Oct. 2015

Catholic Faith and Culture

Approx. ten Thursday evenings from 7.30pm-9.00pm in Malahide parish centre, starting Thursday 1st October.  It will comprise of 3 EWTN video series, as follows:  First series ‘Virtue, Freedom and Faith’ addresses society’s slide into relativism and moral darkness, hosted by Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J.  Second series ‘Genesis to Jesus’ is a biblical study exploring God’s loving covenant with His children, hosted by Dr. Scott Hahn.  Third series ‘The Little Flower’ examines the life and work of St. Therese of Lisieux, hosted by Fr. Jacques Daley, OSB.  Attendance is free - we look forward to seeing you there.

Week of Guided Prayer - November 2015

Remembrance Service, National Maternity Hospital

The National Maternity Hospital will hold its Annual Remembrance Service on Sunday 4th October at 3pm in the Church of St Andrew, Westland Row, Dublin 2.  The Service is held in memory of babies who have died in the hospital through miscarriage, stillbirth or shortly after birth.  Bereaved parents, their families, and friends are welcome to attend.  Light refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity to meet hospital staff members and other parents. Dominican Retreat Centre Open Day

Nazareth Family Institute - Marriage Preparation Courses

Non-residential weekend courses given by an experienced team of couples and a priest in a relaxed friendly environment in Avila Carmelite Centre, Donnybrook, Dublin 4.  From 7.00pm to 10.00pm on Friday and 9.30am to 5.15pm on Saturday; lunch and tea/coffee provided.  The course is fully compliant with Catholic Church guidelines and derives much from the teaching of St. John Paul II.  The next immediate dates are 25/26 September and 13/14 November 2015.  Bookings can made on line at or by ringing 01-2896647 or 087-6290041.

FaithFest 7

The FaithFest team is planning their 7th FaithFest, a faith-inspired event for teenagers on Friday 2nd October.  Teenagers will take part in dynamic workshops which will support their faith with other young people, workshops will examine questions around our faith;  justice in today’s world, meditation and Scripture.  As usual there will be music and toasted marshmallows!  Friday 2nd October, 6.00pm-9.30pm at Holy Cross Diocesan Centre, Clonliffe Road, Dublin 3.  All parishes are asked to invite  young people to Faithest.  Registration: This email address is being protected from spambots. Triduum to St. Therese of Lisieux

The parish of Our Lady of Victories, Sallynoggin/Glenageary invite you to join us for a Triduum to St. Therese of Lisieux.  Theme: ‘Follow Me’.  So often we ask ‘how can I pass on the Good News of the Gospel to my family, my friends and my neighbours?’  In our Triduum Frances Hogan will respond to this desire in our hearts.  She will deliver 6 different reflections which encourage us and challenge us. ‘Come and See’ Jn1:39.  Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th September, and Thursday 1st October.  Mass at 9.00am and/or 6.30pm.  Don’t forget your petitions and your roses.
