Crumlin Parish Mission

St Agnes’ Church, Crumlin from Monday 2nd to Friday 6th November.  ‘A great opportunity to find meaning in our lives’ given by St Patrick’s Community.  Night 1: God’s Love – The amazing story of John Pridmore.  Night 2: God’s Mercy – A chance to meet Jesus personally.  Night 3: God’s Healing – Healing service (miracles abound).  Night 4: God’s gift of Mary – The love of Mary for us.  Night 5: Mass of the Holy Spirit – The most powerful prayer of the Catholic Church.  There will be a talk and music at each of the morning Masses.  Masses: Mon - Fri 10.00am.  Mission Evenings: Mon - Fri 7.00pm.  There is no 7.00pm Evening Mass from Monday to Thursday during the Parish Mission; Evening Mass will resume on Friday 6thNovember.

Living with Loss

An information evening for the public about bereavement with guest speaker Jane McKenna (founder of The LauraLynn Children’s Hospice Foundation).  November is traditionally a month for remembrance.  This Irish Hospice Foundation event aims to provide information about grief and the range of supports available to bereaved people.  Free public event on Thursday 5th November, 5.30pm-8.00pm at the Alexander Hotel, 41-47 Fenian Street, Dublin 2.  The evening will open at 5.30pm with a formal introduction.  There will also be an opportunity to chat to voluntary bereavement support services about the supports they provide.  During the evening Jane McKenna will address the gathering and speak on the theme ‘Living with Loss’.

Anniversary Mass - Ayrfield

St. Paul’s Church (Ayrfield, D. 13) is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year and to celebrate, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin has accepted our invitation to celebrate Mass on Saturday 7th  November at 6.00pm.  Preparations are underway for this anniversary and there is a great deal to celebrate and we would like to invite parishioners who were born, Baptised, received First Holy Communion, were Confirmed or Married in the past 40 years in Ayrfield parish to be involved in this occasion.  Anyone who has ideas, memorabilia, etc. are welcome to contact us through the parish office Tel: 01  8160981 or contact Pauline King, Chairperson of the Pastoral Council directly on 086 3522671.  This is an open invitation to all parishioners to celebrate together, current parishioners and to those who have moved away from Ayrfield - Fr. Teresa of Avila 500 Anniversary Closing Mass

The Closing Mass for the Year will take place in Whitefriar Street Church Thursday, October 15th at 7.30pm. The Principal celebrant and homilist will be The Most Rev. Refugee Response

As we are all aware, the unprecedented refugee and migrant crisis currently unfolding requires a humanitarian and co-ordinated response.  Crosscare is hosting a meeting on Thursday 22nd October at 7.30pm in Holy Cross Diocesan Centree, Clonliffe  if you or anyone in your parish would like to attend.  At this meeting, the Irish Red Cross will provide an update on the current situation. Dublin Lourdes Choir

The Dublin Lourdes Choir, with director Damian Gallagher and soloist Sharon Lyons, has recorded a new CD of settings of Ave Maria.  It is hoped that this music will give people a sense of the grace-filled comfort, peace and prayer of Lourdes.  The CD is available from the Lourdes Pilgrimage Office – tel. 01 837 6820 or 01 808 7555.  The cost is €10, and proceeds will go towards financially supporting sick children and adults who otherwise could not make a pilgrimage to Lourdes .

Project Messiah 2015

Join us for the Third Year in celebrating the beginning of Year of Mercy and Advent in Whitefriar St. Church on Saturday, November 28th with a rousing performance of G.F.
