Combined Parishes of Clondalkin

As part of the 400th  anniversary of Clondalkin Village Parish, we are hosting a Parish Mission running from Monday 7th to Friday 11th December.  The Mission will be presented by Saint Patrick’s Community and will include talks by John Pridmore.  There will be sessions at 10am and 7:30pm each day.  It promises to be both challenging and uplifting.  It is open to all and all are welcome.

Towards Peace

- is a spiritual support service designed for those who have experienced sexual, physical, emotional or spiritual abuse by Catholic Church personnel in Ireland.  Support is also available for family members of abuse survivors.  The vision of Towards Peace is to provide a safe supportive space, where people who have been affected by abuse in a Church context can be accompanied as they seek their own experience of spiritual peace, one step at a time.  Towards Peace provides spiritual support through one-to-one spiritual direction sessions, with a qualified spiritual companion.  Up to nine sessions are offered and there is no cost.  For more information, please visit www.towardspeace.ie, phone 01 505 3028 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. St. Patrick’s Hospital/TCD study on depression

Candlelight Christmas Concert 2015

- at St. Mary’s, Haddington Road on Thursday 17th December at 7.30 pm.  Classicus Youth Chamber Choir with sopranos Emer Barry, Donna Gallagher and Catrina Scullion.  Tickets €15, Cons €10, Family €40.  All proceeds to St. Mary’s Music Fund 2015.

Witnesses of Hope

Songs for Christmas and Testimonies from the Middle East.  Concert performance by the Choir of Communion and Liberation on Saturday 12th December, 4.00 pm at St Paul’s Church, 19 Arran Quay, Dublin 7.  There will be a collection at the end of the concert for AVSI International aid and support projects in Syria, Iraq, and other countries.  All welcome.

Defence Forces Carol Service 2015

This year the Annual Carol Service will take place in the  Church of the Holy Family, Aughrim Street on Wednesday 9th December at 8pm.  This will include the Army No 1 Band, Defence Forces Pipe Band, Il Coro Italiano di Dublino, Aoife Gibney, Sgt David Martin.  Always a joyful occasion and all are welcome to attend.

Year of Mercy - Lucan South

To launch the special ‘Year of Mercy’, the Parish of Lucan South, Dublin is holding an all-night prayer vigil starting at 10pm on Monday 7th December concluding with Mass at 10am for the feast of the Immaculate Conception on the 8th of December.  There will be a Holy Hour from 10pm, Mass at 11pm taking us up to midnight.  There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from midnight to 9.30am during which Priests will be available for Confessions going on all through the night beginning at 12 midnight.
